Rugby

The International Rugby Board (IRB) and Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) have set out specific requirements for synthetic pitches which differ from that of soccer and hockey.

The differences are:

1) PILE HEIGHT - it is recommended that rugby be played on minimum 65mm pile height
2) SHOCK PAD - it is recommended rugby be played on a shock pad to meet Regulation 22

The regulation stipulates that a critical fall height of 1.3 metres should be achieved.

Accreditation:

The fibrillated Scrummager or the mono-filament Rugger product offered by McSweeney Sports Surfaces in combination with the in-situ Shock Pad has been tested by independent laboratories and complies with Regulation 22. Note: Each pitch must be independently tested following installation to ensure compliance.

Installation Options: Turnkey or Subcontractor
